For a long time I didn't like watching this film. I thought I'd put it away once I finished it and it would only ever be an exercise in discipline and grit of my first attempts at making a finished film. Those might be strange words to use to describe this film, as the tone is quite opposite. But sometimes what it takes to make something calming and beautiful, isn't a calming and beautiful process.

This film taught me something very important about filmmaking.

Something beautiful, is rarely made in a beautiful way. But sometimes it's worth trucking through mud, or freezing rain, or through emotional turmoil regardless of that.

For at the end, there is something worth the effort. Sometimes the effort and struggles  is proportional to the effortless beauty perceived from the final product. Maybe not always for yourself, but for others.

In that case, there is a solace in the struggle.
